VCF Operations 9.1 | Dashboard Sections
The new Dashboard sections feature in VCF Operations 9.1 is a small change, but easily one of my favorite highlights of this release.
Dashboard Sections provide a Simple layout, but serious power. 😎
Dashboard Sections in use:
- Select a host to view data, then minimize the section to eliminate scrolling and hide unnecessary widgets.
- Performance metrics update based on the selected host; minimize the section once your review is complete.
- With the top sections collapsed, the dashboard focuses entirely on VM data, maintaining a clean, simple workspace.
- Sections keep the Dashboard very clean looking and easy to use without a lot of scrolling.
Steps to add sections to a Dashboard:
- To start the Dashboard has no sections.
- Edit the dashboard.
- Select "Add Section" located above the widgets.
- Rename your new sections.
- Drag and drop widgets into the desired sections.
After you install VCF Operations 9.1:
- Explore the Out of the Box (OOTB) dashboards included with VCF Operations 9.1.
- Many of these standard dashboards now feature integrated sections by default.
